The world of colour for almost any purpose, has changed considerably over the last few years. the advent of the science of colour theory has opened up so many ideas that it seems hard to imagine life before it. The colour theory wheel is formed of primary, secondary and tertiary colours which are arranged in a circular pattern. There will be warm and cool sections highlighted together with neutral shades that compliment stronger shades and stop clashes. The colour wheel is designed with a very concise and clear layout specifically to make colour selection abundently clear and easy to understand. Once the main principles have been grasped, the selection of the right colours becomes a natural instinct, a second nature.
Beginning with one colour, the idea is to look across the wheel for its direct compliment but instead of choosing that colour, move two analogous colours on either side of it. Say your first choice is chartreuse, a yellowy green shade, looking across to the complimentary colour brings up a red-violet. However you would choose voilet and red as second and third choices. Wooh once this idea is in ht emindset, there’s no stopping you.
